This is dedicated to my baby. dum spiro, ti amo. Forever and ever.

It was a very busy and tiring weekend. Friday was spent rushing around the school coz there was a workshop and I had to go earlier to help with the setup. When it finally ended, I was dead tired because I didn't sleep the night before (was rushing his birthday present also). So I went down to my dear's place to sleep while waiting for him to book out. I woke up at 9+, no messages or calls from him :( So I just watched tv until 11pm, then I went back home.
I slept for a few hours, then woke up to do his present + my grandma's, then I left home to go buy breakfast for him and to his camp. Luckily, I brought a book with me. So I just sat at the bus stop and read. It was only 2hrs later when I saw him book out. Aiya, his birthday ma, must give him surprise and wait for him outside camp :D
We just slacked at home in the afternoon coz my poor baby was very tired too. We went out earlier to Suntec to check something at Carrefour, then headed down to Singapore Indoor Stadium for dinner with his family at the Jumbo Restaurant there. The food was very nice XP and we weren't the only ones celebrating birthdays there too haha. We took some photos, then went home. It was a quiet celebration compared to last year's, but I'm glad my darling still enjoyed himself =) David and Alvin stayed over at his place that night, while I stayed up again to finish up the presents.
Went back to his place on Sunday morning to go to church together with them. Although I slept very little, I wasn't sleepy and dozing off (unlike *ahem* :X) After service, I left them and went down to HarbourFront Centre for lunch with my family. We were going for the dim sum buffet to celebrate my grandma's birthday. The price was reasonably cheap, but the food was ok only. And they didn't have xiao long bao!!! :( After dinner, we walked around for a while. All the time, I was trying to avoid people who will recognise me. (so awkward to see them now and I certainly didn't have time for chit chat) I went to buy a blackforest cake (his favourite :P) and went down to Chinatown to join baby and his friends for ktv. Big thanks to people who helped me to get him into the room and to keep a look out for me, or to help me in other ways: Ilango (accomplice), David & Michelle (spies), Haryanto, Run Jin, Candice (pity she didn't join us for the ktv). It was so overwhelming to see the entire room of 16 people singing loudly and cheering that my baby was tearing :X Hee..he was so surprised and happy lor =) Took pictures also (Jason, remember you promised to send me everything ok?), had lots of fun singing along although I got a bit sleepy at the end lolz. After that, we bought some bread home as dinner and we just went to bed immediately, and slept all the way until this morning.
I came home and slept for another 2hrs before going back to his house again. We spent some time looking through university courses and after lunch, he had to book in already :(
It was a very short weekend with everything crammed together, but I'm so happy that I can spend so much time (though not enough :X) with my baby. It's not going to be easy in the coming weeks coz he won't get any night off or early book out (stupid camp), but we must persevere and encourage and support each other through.
*hugz baby* I will always be around for you de, will continue to be your source of inspiration, support, motivation, comfort, encouragement, love.
I see so much of the old me in her. It hurts a little sometimes, because she is suffering and going through what I nearly went through. All relationships require a compromise of give-and-take, on top of trust, understanding, communication, effort, passion. Both parties have to really communicate so that your other half knows exactly what you are thinking and feeling. Just because he's your boyfriend, he's supposed to know what you really mean when you say "Nothing."? Or she has been your girlfriend for so long, she knows what you have been doing even in your own private time? It's small misunderstandings and the lack of communication and trust that spark off fires in relationships. You can't totally stop an argument, but you can resolve it as soon as possible and coming up with the best solution together. If the couple doesn't talk at all, how to solve?!
Thank God I have found him. I am such a hothead and temperamental person and although I don't get angry frequently now, I'm still unable to control my emotions sometimes. He, on the other hand, is always calm and rational, always trying to think of practical and sensitive solutions that will suit both of us. Whenever a quarrel happened, he was always the one holding me back and asking me to cool down to discuss and look at the entire situation. We complement each other huh? :P Now, though, I'm becoming more clear-headed and he's the one with sudden bursts of emotions on rare occasions. Lol I think I have passed my bad habits to him :X But nonetheless, I believe we will always be able to talk things through properly and neither of us go to sleep at night being unhappy and thinking about the problem.
Another point I have managed to overcome (but have not fully overcome) is spending time on your own or with your own friends. I used to be so unstable that I always wanted to spend our free time together. He was ok with it at first, but after a while, he couldn't take it anymore. I think it goes for every guy too, and maybe girls also. Once you can't breathe properly, you won't enjoy yourself in the relationship anymore. Apart from spending time with each other, one has to spend time with God, family, oneself, own friends; and to also set aside time for studies, church, recreation activities, work etc. We argued a lot about this and kept talking and discussing. Today, I am ok with him spending time with his friends, although sometimes I tagged along too. (eh, his friends and him asked me to go also what! :X) And in my own free time, I enjoy spending time alone with God and with my family and relatives. I'm glad we have striked a balance, but I feel it's not good enough. Seeing what is happening now, it makes me want to do more, to become even better, to be the best he's ever had. =)
14th.
It's a double celebration this month because it's Valentine's Day and it's our anniversary. I was so tired and I went straight home to sleep when school ended. But at 3+pm, my darling surprised me by knocking on my door. I was still very groggy and just unlocked the door to let him in. But it was a very, very pleasant surprise :D I didn't expect him to take half day off just to celebrate with me. After all, he was the one who said V-Day is just a overly-commercialised day lolz. He was wearing the white shirt I gave him :P and he bought chocolates and flowers for me! (so much for saying commercialised right?) And he made this beautiful card for me...I know he must have spent a lot of time doing it coz it was very nicely done and he could only do it on weekends. I love everything about the card..the pictures of us that form a big heart which he stick together painstakingly, the lyrics of different songs that he mixed and pieced together..I have to look at it every night before I sleep :X
We went out to catch 'A Season For Love' at Cineleisure after that. The movie was very touching. It was not like your usual V-Day romantic comedies. The storyline and ending were sad. It made me cry buckets. Both of us love the show. I thought that it was very good because it showed a different side of love. I'm not saying that love has to be sad and hurtful to be called love. It's just that it is a side where one usually wants to omit, skip or pretend it doesn't exist. If you really care about someone, and treasure your relationship with him/her (not referring to boy-girl relationships only), you should let him/her know immediately and as many times as possible. You never know what will happen tomorrow. It could be too late by then.
After the movie, we went to Maestro Bistro for dinner. My baby had made a reservation already, but we had to wait for so long. (so did some of the other couples who had made reservations too) The food was not bad, seriously. There were 2 choices each for the appetizer, main course and dessert. So we got 1 of each, then we can share and get everything! :P The only bad things were: the iced teas were so bland, we had to put like dunno how much sugar; waiting time was long, order taking time was long, servicing time was long etc, you get the idea; we didn't get the big cushioned seats in the centre aisle with cute table decorations :( But overall, it was a nice experience and we had lots of fun talking and sharing our food hee..though it was more of him eating mine because his dory fillet was a bit spicy.
He had to book in after that. So we took the train down to Tampines, and took a bus to his camp together. The day was so wonderful, I didn't want it to end >.<
Baby, thank you for planning such a wonderful surprise for me! I'm really touched by the things you have done. I know planning all these are not easy..especially when time is not on your side. I enjoyed myself a lot, and I hope you enjoyed it too. Every small little detail that you notice, every sweet present you give me, every effort you put into our relationship..just make me love you more! :) I want to spend all my future V-Days with you! But don't spend so much next time ok? Lolz. *hugz*
Had our first official valentine's day together yesterday! I came to baby's house in the morning to wake him up and give him his special card + website. He was so surprised and happy :D Den we had lunch together with the rest of his family at home before leaving for Suntec.
Upon reaching Suntec, we spent lots of time juz walking around slowly. (Actually, we were busy looking at some pro kid playing The House of The Dead 4 in the arcade) We bought tickets to watch Fun With Dick and Jane as well. The movie was about 1 and a half hrs only, totally not worth it to watch on a weekend where ticket prices were like $9.50?! The show was very funny, so-jim-carrey. But the plot was kinda thin and there wasn't much story or character development.
After the movie, we headed down to Raffles Place, China Square Central to be exact. It was sooo quiet on a Saturday night, with the exception of people going down to Clarke Quay's pubs! We had dinner at Vil'age, and we ordered ONLY things that could not be found at Marche, which wasn't a lot by the way. We took some pics and left for home after dinner..both of us were too tired lolz.
Baby, thank you for helping me to make this day so memorable. Even if the ending was not something we had planned for or expected, I'm still glad it happened because it gave both of us something to learn and remember about. I know you will remember what you promised me, so don't worry, I won't keep nagging you about it. Yet after all these, you are still sticking by me, supporting me. I'm really grateful for that. I love you just the way you are, just for being yourself. *muackz*
February.
It's my darling's month. There's Valentine's Day..and his birthday! :D although this is a few days late, but at least it's still before both occasions right? :X
So I hereby dedicate this blog site entirely to him! Hope this cheers him up, and he'll be well soon! *muackz*
Baby, I don't have a lot of time and money to do special and nice things for you this year. But I hope you will still like what I plan for you in the coming weeks, not only for February, but for March as well (April and May your turn liao right? :P) Love you forever sweetie *hugz*
