This is dedicated to my baby. dum spiro, ti amo. Forever and ever.

Me, my darling, and my 2 little siblings went to the zoo yesterday! It was a long-awaited day for the kids as they were counting down everyday with me lolz. So my baby came down to my house in the morning, and we went down to take bus from Ang Mo Kio Interchange. All of us brought a bag, to keep our water bottles, caps, tissues, snacks etc. (We didn't finish all our snacks in the end anyway XP)
There were so many people there!!! My goodness, it was so crowded >.<>baby couldn't go down with us because he was wearing shoes and long pants. (I told him to wear shorts liao what! :X) We took the tram (this was the one time we took it) to see the Wonders Of The Wild show. It was ok only, I think the one I saw two years ago was better. After the show, we had our lunch at the food court instead of KFC. We had very nice fish & chips, and an-okay fried rice.
After lunch, something bad happened. Our camera suddenly no batt. It was charged fully but dunno why still lidat. =/ So we had to go to the entrance to buy..and since my brother had a blister, we got plaster for him too. Then, we walked back to see manatees and penguins. One penguin was standing by itself at a corner, with brown tufts of hair poking out all over its body, and it kept scratching itself with its beak. It looked like some kind of fungal infection, and until now, it still gave me goosebumps just thinking about the poor penguin :(
We continued to see the rest of the exhibits, and just made it in time for the Elephants Of Asia show at 3.30pm. After that, we visited the primates and the Australia Outback. It was a newly themed area and there were lots of young kangaroos and emus inside. An interesting thing happened here: we were walking around when suddenly a young kangaroo hopped out of the fence, and onto the walkway. It was at the entrance, so other visitors couldn't exit or come in, until a big Caucasian guy insisted on coming in. So naturally, he wasn't able to block the kangaroo and it hopped outside. All of us were totally shocked! What if it hopped right into the white tiger exhibit? (It was nearby fyi) But there wasn't much we could do. There were no zookeepers around to inform either. So we continued, hoping that it would be back safely. When we went out the other way, we saw that the kangaroo was just on the grass outside and there were two zookeepers holding on to it, making it go back into its own area. Phew :P
After we visited everything, we wanted to let the children sit on the tram for an entire route. But the tram was closed already T_T Anyway, the sky was getting very dark (rain, not time) so we headed for the gift shop. The two children got a small white tiger and an elephant each, and I had a giraffe! Hee..courtesy of my darling :) I asked him to get something, but he doesn't want lolz. We brought the kids back home as they were going out for dinner with my parents while the 2 of us went back to his house. End of a long and tiring day :) It was really fun, but we had to walk so much until the children were really tired out. Next shop: Sentosa? XP
